Prior to commencing law school, Jordan raised five children on a farm in central Alberta. Although initially Jordan started practising in the areas of civil litigation and real estate, over time she began to focus exclusively in the area of family law.

Jordan finds that each family law situation presents a challenge to find a resolution that will permit the families to move forward with their lives with the least amount of conflict as possible. Jordan looks forward to working with family law clients to find a solution that best fits each client’s unique situation.

Jordan has had success at all levels of Court in Alberta. Although it will never be her first choice to take a matter to Court, Jordan realizes that in some situations clients are left with no recourse but to seek the Courts involvement. Jordan sees herself as a tough, but reasonable lawyer who is not afraid of taking on difficult cases.

That said, Jordan prefers to work with clients through negotiation to try and resolve matters as in family law, going to Court often escalates a matter and leaves scars on the parties and on the children that last a lifetime. She finds that often when the clients “buy in” to the solution, the resulting settlement is more secure and less likely to be questioned or fought in the future.

In her free time, Jordan loves to travel with her husband and to spend time with her five children, two stepchildren and sixteen grandchildren (and two corgis). Jordan enjoys outdoor recreation including hiking, biking and pickleball with her family and friends.
